I have a dog question for you.?

My hubby has been in the hospital for about 5 days now. My 17 month old dog really misses "her daddy". I go see my hubby every day,for at least a couple of hours every day.I time it.I feed my dog,let her our before i go anywhere and bye the time i get home,im just in time to let her our and feed her.Her feeding schedule and letting her out hasnt changed whatsover its still the same.Im out 2 and a half hours tops.I let her know im going to see "daddy" be a good girl etc and kiss her goodbye.Later when daddy phones,she hears his voice and shes so happy shes jumping and even smelling and licking the phone lol.She never gets into mischief when im gone,except yesterday.When i got home she had chewed up my remote for the tv.I really dont understand cuz she has chew toys all over and shes never done that b4.I thought maybe she was bored or lonely and or mad and how can i be mad at a dog.So i left it at that and never scolded her either.about 4 hours later im in my room and she does the same thing to my remote.this time i caught her,scolded her and called her a naught dog and told her to behave her self,i never hit her though,never.my remote still good,just some teeth marks.My hubby told me i shouldve scolded her when i got home,not wait till later.Well if i wouldve scolded her then,she wouldnt know what she was getting scolded for,but since i caught her in the act later,i scolded her.Today she was fine.Did she chew my remote cuz she was bored,mad or rebelling i dont know.Today when i left,i hid my remote.What do you think of this and thanks all for listening.
