Is it a faux pas to be a male biual in Hollywood?

I'd like to know if it is. This question came to my mind because I use this fun text service known as "ChaCha", where you text them a question and they reply with an answer. I asked for some examples of LGBT actors and one of the replies I got was "It is a faux pas to be a male in Hollywood". ChaCha does not always have accurate answer but I'm curious, is this at all even true?
