Is WWE basically playing the sports franchise that loses their star players and having to rebuild?

Just like when Jordan retired from the Bulls they went through some bad seasons before they became a threat again.Same goes for the Dolphins after Marino,Cowboys with Aikman and Emmit leaving.They all had to go through some very bad seasons before finally being able to replace their star players.
